The Slovak Republic, as a party to the UN human rights treaties, is requires to produce national reports on the compliance of domestic standards and practices with treaty rights. These reports are reviewed in the presence of state representatives by specialised monitoring organs – treaty bodies. Concluding observations, commenting on the adequacy of state compliance with treaty obligations, are issued by the treaty bodies following the review.
