Miroslav Lajčák, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, participated in the festive opening of the NATO Industry Days in SR held in Bratislava on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He addressed the event and stressed that NATO is not just about stability and security but also about prosperity. Slovakia’s membership in NATO indirectly contributes to economic development of the country and also offers economic opportunities to Slovak businesses. He stressed the importance of maximum effective use of the economic dimensions of diplomacy in his speech.
