On April 25, 2012 Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák met with Ambassadors and chargés d´affaires accredited to Slovakia. In his speech, Minister Lajčák emphasized his interest in further dialogue and cooperation with the heads of representations abroad and presented the priorities of the Slovak Republic in foreign policy, including political, business and economic dimensions. He stressed that the Slovak Republic would act as a responsible member of the European Union and transatlantic formations.

Apostolic Nuncio to the Slovak Republic Monsignor Mario Giordana spoke on behalf of the diplomatic corps and appreciated the words of Minister Lajčák, also confirming the interest of the heads of missions accredited to Slovakia in intensifying their cooperation with the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
