Opening of the Visa Application Centres in China

In order to serve the travellers from China to Slovakia more efficiently, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing has opened four Visa Application Centres (VACs) in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shenyang (together with one VAC in Shanghai under the administration of Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Shanghai). The services at the VACs commenced operation on 3 December 2018 with business hours from 08:00 until 15:00, Monday to Friday. For more information and contact details of above-mentioned VACs, please consult the following website: http://www.vfsglobal.cn/Slovakia/China

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic kindly requests applicants for Schengen visa (visa C) to apply at the VACs. Applicants holding a Hukou registered in the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shanghai and Zhejiang need to file their application at the VAC in Shanghai (or contact the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Shanghai for more information). The applicants for National visa (visa D), visa connected to permanent residence application (also National visa – visa D) and holders of public affairs passport cannot use the services of VACs, thus, will have priority when filing their application at the Embassy during standard consular hours. The Embassy of the Slovak Republic continues to accept documents for superlegalization, verification of signature etc., and reminds the applicants that one copy of each document is necessary when submitting the documents to the Embassy. Applicants for temporary/permanent residence need to contact the Embassy and set separate appointment.

Applications for temporary/permanent residence

Please note, that the applications for temporary/permanent residence at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic are processed out of standard consular opening hours. For submitting the application, it is necessary to schedule an appointment via phone in advance. The appointments are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at 14.00. At the scheduled appointment, the applicant will be asked to submit the application form and all necessary documents (including a copy of each document), fill in the questionnaire and undergo an interview in person.
