The disarmament priorities focused on non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, Iran and its nuclear program, North Korea, US-UN relations especially with regard to the role of the United States in the global politics, as well as the need for creating a functioning framework of effective international treaties, verification mechanisms and methods featured in the meeting held in New York today (24 March) between Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák and High Representative of UN Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs Kim Won-soo. The head of Slovak diplomacy on Thursday gave an address at the UN within a high-level event on climate change.
