Slovak participation at the literature festival in India

Peter Michalík, Martina Kotláriková and Veronika Čillagová are literature and culture enthusiats from Slovakia who attended the 9th Zee Jaipur Literature Festival. Together, they work for Brak publishing house and organise Bratislava Book Festival (BRaK), which takes place annualy in the first week of June, and it is regarded as an important event for writers, readers, publishers and designers. Their visit to Jaipur was planned to expand the experience and knowledge about some of the greatest thinkers and writers across South Asia and the world, as well as gathering information on the large scale festival management and creating interactive workshops. Embassy of the Slovak Republic in New Delhi is proud to support and promote Slovak cooperation with Indian authors, publishers and translators. Over the last year, many pieces of contemporary Slovak writings have been translated to Hindi language and Visegrad Literary Evening was held in New Delhi to celebrate Slovak EU Presidency 2016.
