    he 14th session of the Intergovernmental Slovak-Ukrainian Commission for National Minorities, Education and Culture was held at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic today (23 March). The meeting was opened by the chair, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek; his co-chair on behalf of Ukraine was Svitlana Fomenko, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Culture.

    State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek opened an event for the business public on the Pacific Alliance formed by four countries of Latin America: Mexico, Chile, Peru and Colombia at the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry on 22 March 2017. The Slovak Republic became an observer state within the Pacific Alliance in June 2016.

They focused on developments in mutual economic relations, as well as Brexit-related measures under preparation and Slovak citizens in the UK.

    Bratislava (6 March) – Today State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Ministry of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok received Denitsa Zlateva, Deputy Prime Minister for Preparations of Bulgaria’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the Slovak Republic on the course and results of the historically first Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU. As Bulgaria will hold its first-ever Presidency of the Council of the EU already in the first half of 2018, she highly appreciated the willingness of the Slovak Republic to share its experience from the preparations and realization of the Presidency.
