State Secretary Korčok discusses priorities for mutual cooperation with the new Ambassador of Croatia

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs SR, Ivan Korčok, received the incoming Ambassador Designate of Croatia to Slovakia, Alexander Hein, today (4 October).


The partners evaluated the relations between the two countries as very friendly and intensive at all levels. Korčok discussed with the new ambassador further specific opportunities for deepening future cooperation that should focus, besides the political and economic dimensions, also on the European agenda. As the Croatian Ambassador informed, his country is getting intensively ready for its first ever presidency of the Council of the EU in the first six months of 2020. In that regard the MFEA SR state secretary reiterated the offer by Slovakia to share its experience. “I gladly accept the invitation from the Foreign and European Affairs Minister of Croatia to visit your country to share our experience of the Slovak presidency of the Council of the EU,” noted Korčok.


The new Ambassador of Croatia to SR presented the copies of his credentials to the MFEA SR state secretary.
