Kazakhstan will Open its Embassy in Slovakia

Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and Special Representative for Slovakia’s OSCE Chairmanship, received today (14 June 2019) Serzhan Abdykarimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Slovak Republic (seated in Prague).

 

The Kazakh official informed the State Secretary about the results of the preliminary Presidential elections in his country that took place on 9 June 2019. He presented the main priorities of the newly elected President and his core objective that is to strengthen the dialogue between the state and society.

 

Both partners confirmed a very good level of bilateral relations. State Secretary Parízek congratulated his partner on electing Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and expressed his support for the planned reforms in the country.

 

Ambassador Abdykarimov officially informed the State Secretary about the plans of Kazakhstan to open an Embassy in Bratislava. State Secretary Parízek stated that the development of Slovak-Kazakhstan relations in the recent period has been successful. He further expressed his great appreciation for the intention of Kazakhstan to open the Embassy.  He expressed his conviction that the increase in the level of the diplomatic representation in Slovakia will help in the further development of our relations.

 

In the end in relation to Slovakia’s Chairmanship in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Parízek welcomed the engagement of Kazakhstan in multi-lateral forums, as well as in helping to meet the current international challenges.
