The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ingrid Brocková, visited the MultiplexDX company on 19 May 2020. CEO Pavol Čekan together with scientist Robert Mistrík presented a unique test for the early diagnosis of COVID-19. This was developed in record time by the MultiplexDX company with the Biomedical Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Lambda Life and ProScience Tech companies in the science park of Comenius University in Bratislava.

“This cooperation between the public, academic and private sectors is exemplary and gives hope for a more effective fight against the pandemic,” Ingrid Brocková emphasized at the meeting, adding: “It is excellent when top Slovak scientists, as in this case, return home, to Slovakia, from abroad and achieve such excellent results.”

The Slovak test, which has a high international quality standard, has been officially registered. Slovakia has thus become not only a world leader in the number of cars produced per capita but also a spot where top biotechnological development takes place. “We will do everything to ensure that the Slovak test also reaches other countries around the world, countries where they need it,” said Secretary of State Ingrid Brocková at the end of the talks.
