    State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok received today (9 February) Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Slovak Republic Andy Garth and Director General from the UK Department for Exiting the EU Alex Ellis. The British counterparts talked about the course of adopting the respective legislation enabling UK PM Theresa May to notify Brussels of the country´s wish to leave the EU.

    State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek today (8 February 2017) attended the opening of the 10th Security Forum 2017 international conference in Banská Bystrica. The event, organized by the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of Matej Bel University, is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Ministry of Defence.

    Brussels (7 February 2017) – The Bratislava summit spirit is still present, as State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok (representing Slovakia at the General Affairs Council) stated today. This was the first formal meeting of this ministerial formation during the Maltese Presidency.

    State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek along with a delegation featuring SARIO, Eximbanka, SIEA and businessmen visited the Republic of Cuba on 24-26 January to hold talks with their counterparts from the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Foreign Trade Ministry and Energy and Mines Ministry. This was the first official visit after having signed the EU-Cuba Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement (PDCA).

    Bratislava (26 January) – “The Bratislava summit was an impetus for several EU measures of a global nature,” said State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Government Proxy for the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU Ivan Korčok at a meeting with non-EU ambassadors accredited to the Slovak Republic.
