Interactive discussion with participants of The Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy in the UN

10.1.2017

Permanent Representative of Slovakia Ambassador František Ruzicka met with participants of the Annual Conference to discuss transition(s) in the UN, USA, Europe and role of cultural diplomacy in world affairs. The 2016 US Presidential Election and the UN Secretary General Election represent the start of a new era in the most influential governance institutions of the modern world. The policies and strategies that will be decided and launched in the next months will influence every aspect of future international relations, the global economy, human rights and environmental issues of every country around the world. The expectations for positive developments are high and indeed the opportunities for leading the world to a more balanced situation between States, as well as within states and with their citizens await to be pursued.

In light of these transitions, the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy has launched the “Global Summit on Cultural Diplomacy in the United Nations” which will be a major event in the field of cultural diplomacy hosted and organized by ICD in partnership with other leading institutions.
