Ingrid Brocková at the Innovation Day: Systems by MicroStep-MIS Company Protect Lives and Help Prevent Damage All Over the World

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková welcomed foreign ambassadors on the 23rd Innovation Day in Bratislava on Monday, 30 January 2023. She introduced MicroStep-MIS company producing monitoring and information systems to the guests.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková held talks with Bernardo Ivo Cruz, State Secretary for Internationalization from Portugal´s Foreign Affairs Ministry, in Lisbon on Friday, 27 January 2023. Their negotiations involved the energy crisis caused by the Russian aggression in Ukraine, the use of renewable resources, as well as economic cooperation and how to strengthen it further.

State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry Andrej Stančík welcomed Under Secretary of State for Europe of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Leo Docherty to Bratislava on Tuesday, 24 January 2023. The main topic of their talks was deepening the cooperation and fight against hybrid threats and disinformation, taking into account the war in Ukraine as well.

On Monday 23 January 2023 Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer attended the session of the Foreign Affairs Council of the EU in Brussels. The main discussion topics among the EU member states ministers included the ongoing aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the EU-Ukraine summit under preparation, as well as the developments in the region of Sahel and West Africa.

Minister Káčer on the anniversary of Slovakia joining the UN: 30 years ago, the international community signalled that it was counting on us; we have proved our worth

30 years ago, on 19 January 1993, the Slovak Republic joined the United Nations (UN), becoming its 180th member state. The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Káčer, recalled that the UN welcomed Slovakia from the very start – a fact proven by the short time separating the country's establishment and its accession to the organisation.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, met with the management of Slovak gas companies - the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of SPP a.s. Miroslav Kulla, CEO of Eustream a.s. Rastislav Ňukovič and representatives of the Slovak National Hydrogen Association Ján Weiterschütz and Juraj Sinay in Bratislava on Thursday, 12 January 2022. The meeting was also attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Peter Gerhart.

Slovakia continued to help Ukraine at the turn of the year, supporting the establishment of an OECD office in Kyiv and its analytical department

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Káčer, confirmed that Slovakia contributed almost 27,000 euro to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development to establish an analytical department for Ukraine at the beginning of January.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Káčer, welcomed the Joint Declaration between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU), signed today, 10 January 2023, at NATO Headquarters in Brussels by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
