Please be informed, that the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing will be closed on Tuesday, 30th of October 2018 and Thursday, 1st of November 2018 due to the statutory holiday of the Slovak Republic.
As from 12 October 2015 and introduction of the Visa Information System (VIS), all applicants will be required to provide their biometric data (10 fingerprints and digital photograph) when applying for Schengen visa (together with an application form and standard set of supporting documents). In this context there will be a change of opening hours at the Consular section of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing as follows:
Tuesday - 9.00-11.00 (accepting visa applications, superlegalization)
Thursday - 9.00-11.00 (accepting visa applications, superlegalization)
Applications for temporary/permanent residence
Please note, that the applications for temporary/permanent residence at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic are processed out of standard consular opening hours. For submitting the application, it is necessary to schedule an appointment via phone in advance. The appointments are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at 14.00. At the scheduled appointment, the applicant will be asked to submit the application form and all necessary documents (including a copy of each document), fill in the questionnaire and undergo an interview in person.

- 04.07.2016Minister Lajčák in Beijing on developing bilateral relations and Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EUMinister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák paid a working visit to the People´s Republic of China from 3-5 July 2016. During the talks with his counterpart, Foreign Affairs Minister of the People´s Republic of China Wang Yi, they expressed mutual interest in the further development of relations in all areas – including the political and inter-ministerial contacts, economic cooperation, diversification of trade, investments, science and research, education and culture. As well as bilateral issues, they also touched upon cooperation in international organizations, the priorities of the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU and the extended cooperation of China and central and eastern Europe (China + 16). “I believe that the increased interest of China in the region of central Europe and the potential of the One Belt, One Road initiative will lead to further deepening of our trade-and-investment relations,” stressed Minister Lajčák. During the meeting, the ministers also delved into the current priorities of the EU-China priorities, also regarding the upcoming bilateral summit to be held in Beijing on 12-13 July 2016. They also discussed global issues including the cooperation at the level of the UN and other international organizations.
