The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Brazil
Today (21 August 2018) Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, at the ministry addressed the ambassadors of the Slovak Republic abroad. They gathered in Bratislava to take part in a regular meeting of heads of representation missions of the Slovak Republic.
Rodinní príslušníci slovenských diplomatov v Brazílii – a brazílskych diplomatov na Slovensku - budú môcť byť zamestnávaní v prijímajúcej krajine aj bez toho, aby si museli najprv žiadať pracovné povolenie. Vyplýva to z dohody, ktorú dnes (18. augusta) podpísal v priestoroch rezortu diplomacie minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Miroslav Lajčák a veľvyslanec Brazílie na Slovensku Antonio Balduíno Carneiro.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Lukáš Parízek, received the incoming Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Slovak Republic, Luís Antonio Balduín Carneiro, today (29 May).
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčák, today (22 February) received the incoming, newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil, Luís Antonio Balduín Carneiro, who has replaced Susan Kleebank in the office. In their discussion Lajčák pointed out Slovakia’s interest in expanding relations with Brazil, Slovakia’s 26th largest export partner and an important investor in our country, and expressed hope that thanks also to the experience Carneiro has in the business and economic areas there will be a successful follow up to the cooperation thus far. As emphasized by the minister, besides the economic area, Slovakia is interested also in continuity of the political dialogue that we expect to strengthen this year through the visit of Prime Minister Robert Fico to Brazil. Minister Lajčák addressed to his partner an invitation for officials from Brazil to attend the Globsec conference that will be held in Bratislava on 26-28 May 2017. The Ambassador of Brazil then presented the copies of his credentials to Minister Lajčák.
Bratislava (25 May) - At its Wednesday session in Bratislava, the Government of the Slovak Republic approved the nomination of Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajčák for the post of UN Secretary-General. This was done in response to the invitation made by President of the UN General Assembly for the member states to nominate candidates with proven leadership and managerial abilities, extensive experience in international relations, and strong diplomatic, communication and multilingual skills for this post.
