Consulate General of Slovakia in New York presented Christmas Concert featuring Piarissimo at the Slovak church of St. J. Nepomucene in New York on December 6, 2019. Guests were welcomed by parish priest Father Richard Baker. The concert was opened by Consul General Ladislava Begeç, who thanked all friends and fans of the Consulate General of Slovakia for their support throughout the whole year and wished everyone happy holiday season.

Piarissimo is a school choir of Jozef Branecký Piarist High School in Trenčín, Slovakia, established in 1990. Since then the choir has evolved and their range is diverse - from Gregorian chants, through Renaissance, Baroque to a contemporary modern spiritual music. The repertoire of the choir also consists of Slovak folk songs as well as African spirituals.

The holiday spirit carried on after the concert with traditional Christmas soup Kapustnica and Christmas delicasies offered by Consulate General of Slovakia in New York.
