Lukáš Parízek in China: “We Must Extend Our Cooperation”

On November 7, Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, met with the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Qin Gang.

 

The partners acknowledged the historic milestone of this year – the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Slovak Republic and the People’s Republic of China and expressed their will to further enhance cooperation with an emphasis on the areas of trade and investments and specific results. “I support the diversification of Slovak exports, from cars to other commodities, mainly food products,” emphasized Lukáš Parízek. He also expressed his hope that the recently concluded memorandums of understanding in the areas of tourism and railway transport will lead to an increase in the number of Chinese tourists to the Slovakia and a better utilisation of transport capacities of the Slovak Railways when transporting goods between China and Europe.

 

The Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs encouraged Slovak companies to use the commercial opportunities which the opening of the Chinese market to foreign products offers.

 

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Lukáš Parízek, is accompanying the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Investments and Informatization, Richard Raši, during his ongoing visit to China, which includes working visits to Shanghai, Beijing and the Farm of the Sino-Czech-Slovak Friendship Farm in Zhongjie, in the Hebei Province.
