Slovak-Japanese Relations are Based on Common Traditional Values

Today (January 8, 2020), Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic received Juno Shimmi, Ambassador of Japan to the Slovak Republic, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Bratislava.

 

The partners confirmed the interest of their countries in further enhancing  mutual relations based on common values, with an emphasis on economic cooperation. In 2020, we will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the Slovak Republic and Japan. “During your mandate, the dynamics and intensity of Slovak-Japanese relations has increased not only in the political and economic areas but also in the area of interpersonal relations,” highlighted Lukáš Parízek with regards to the mission of Juno Shimmi.

 

The Japanese Ambassador Juno Shimmi described Slovakia as an attractive and safe place for Japanese investments. In this regard, State Secretary Parízek stated that the government of the Slovak Republic has been continuously improving the quality of the business environment and creates favourable conditions for foreign investors.
