Ingrid Brocková, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and Lukáš Kyselica, State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, discussed today (May 20, 2020) the co-operation in the provision for humanitarian aid, which is part of the agenda of development co-operation and migration.

“Given that the decision-making process about the future of the EU policy concerning migration and asylum is about to begin soon, a close co-operation with the Ministry of the Interior will be especially important in the upcoming days. We expect the European Commission to present the draft reform of the migration and asylum policy. Together with the other EU member countries, we need to find an adequate solution for the weaknesses that the migration crisis in 2016 revealed in the EU,” stated State Secretary Brocková in the interview.

“This Friday morning, together with State Secretary Kyselica, we will dispatch humanitarian aid to our strategic neighbour Ukraine from the crisis situation’s logistics base of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic in Vajnory,” stressed State Secretary Ingrid Brocková, who added: “We find it important to show solidarity in the form of concrete aid in these difficult times of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is considering putting Slovak scientific findings into use against the current pandemic. State Secretary Kyselica expressed support for co-operation on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.
