State Secretary Lukáš Parízek Opens the 5th Annual India-Europe Business Forum in Delhi

Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Vojtech Ferencz, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic together with Piyush Goyal, Minister of Trade, Industry and Railways of India and Mariyana Nikolova, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy, opened today (November 20, 2019) the 5th annual India-Europe Business Forum in Delhi. The main themes of the 5th year of the business forum are renewable energy resources, the pharmaceutical industry, co-operation in the area of high-tech and innovation technologies in industry, and the starting-up of P2P processes to enhance commercial ties. At the forum, the Slovak Republic was represented by the strongest (40-member) delegation, including a business delegation of 20. State Secretary Vojtech Ferencz and State Secretary Lukáš Parízek emphasized Slovakia’s interest in enhancing economic co-operation with India, with the focus on areas with added value. He further presented the Slovak Republic as an interesting destination for tourists. More than 300 delegations from 29 European countries and the host country India took part in the business forum. 
 
 
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Vojtech Ferencz, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Lukáš Parízek, also took part in bilateral meetings with the representatives of the Confederation of the Industry of India, the president Mr. Vikram S. Kirloskar and the Director-General, Chandrajit Banerjee. At the meeting, the partners discussed options for specific co-operation between the Slovak and Indian confederations and chambers of commerce, with the aim of supporting trade exchange.
