State Secretary Parízek today (30 August) said farewell to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Slovak Republic seated in Vienna Ebadollah Molaei. He thanked him for his almost 5-year active mission to Slovakia. They also assessed the level of bilateral relations between the Slovak Republic and Iran and the current developments in the region of the Persian Gulf.

The situation in the Persian Gulf only attests to the necessity of maintaining communication channels,” said Parízek. He added that in any case it is essential to realize that all the open issues on the international scene can primarily be solved diplomatically.”  He also underlined that the Slovakia, as an EU member, is interested in the continuation of the implementation of the nuclear deal and meeting all the ensuing commitments.

Ambassador Ebadollah Molaei appreciated the open and humane attitude during his mission in Slovakia. He expressed his conviction that there is an opportunity for extending bilateral relations not only politically and economically, but also in culture and education. Currently there are around 200 students from Iran studying at Slovak universities.
