The role of the Slovak Government Council for Export and Investment Promotion is to provide state support for the Slovak trade-and-economic companies with the priority objective to promote exports and generate income from foreign investments. It is also a platform for strategic dialogue by the government and state institutions with representatives of the business sector.

Parízek submitted the Report on the State and Results of Economic Diplomacy for 2017 as informative material from the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry to the session, which was adopted and further recommended for the agenda of the Government session. Within the power of his position he called upon representatives of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Ministry, the Ministry of Finance and EXIMBANKA to present tools for realizing development cooperation activities as one of the core items on the agenda.

With representatives of business entities State Secretary Parízek also discussed the current instruments for promoting exports by Slovak companies and the results of the business missions in 2017.
