Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Receives the New Ambassador of Egypt

Today (8 January 2019), Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs received Mohamed Abdel-Alim KHALIL, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Slovak Republic, with residence in Bratislava on the occasion of the ambassador presenting his credentials.
 
The State Secretary highlighted Egypt’s contribution to the stabilisation and support of the peace processes in the region of the Near East. Together with the new ambassador, they acknowledged the friendly bilateral relations of Slovakia and Egypt and expressed interest in the further enhancement of political dialogue and cooperation in the economic area and issues of joint interest. “I believe that after having conducted a successful business mission in Egypt, we will be able to jointly revive mutual foreign trade, and Egyptian entrepreneurs and businessmen will also profit from the possibilities which Slovak industry and the Slovak economy offer,” concluded Parízek.  As part of the talks, the partners also discussed issues related to the Slovak presidencies in the regional organisations, the Visegrad 4 and OSCE, and the possibilities for cooperation within their frameworks.
