State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Lukáš Parízek, received today (11 April 2019) the designated ambassador of Peru to Slovakia, with residence in Vienna, Eric Anderson Machado, on the occasion of the ambassador presenting his credentials.

Both officials positively assessed the friendly bilateral relations between the countries and expressed the will to enhance the cooperation between the Slovak Republic and Peru in the political sphere and also especially in the areas of economy and trade.  “The potential for our relations has not been fully realized by our two sides since we are so distant geographically. As part of the Pacific Alliance, the Slovak Republic sees the greatest potential for cooperation in the area of science, research and innovation at the level of collaboration between universities,” emphasized the State Secretary.

Lukáš Parízek also expressed the interest of the Slovak Republic in intensifying relations and the related activities, mainly in the area of economic diplomacy. The partners also discussed several current multilateral and regional themes.
