Both partners highlighted that the positions of Slovakia and France in negotiations at the EU level have been approximating, as seen in areas such as defence policy, posted workers and the Eurozone. Slovakia and France have been engaging in an intensive dialogue also in preparations for the thematically-complex Strategic Partnership Action Plan for 2019-2024.

The discussion by the state secretaries focused primarily on issues associated with Brexit, including the moving of the EMA and EBA agencies from the United Kingdom, proposals for completion of the Eurozone and taxation of digital companies. “With growing international competition and the influence of various internal and external challenges, it is necessary that the EU continues integration, deepening and strengthening the Eurozone.
