There were many other topics on the agenda beyond that of Slovak-German relations during the talks between Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and Renata Alt, a member of the German Bundestag for the Free Democratic Party (FDP). The two representatives devoted time to current European topics – the results of the recent elections to the European Parliament and the common European defense.  “We also broached foreign policy issues such as Slovakia’s Chairmanship of the OSCE and developments in Ukraine. We did not forget the dynamic and strategically important Slovak-German relations,” stated Minister Lajčák.

“I would also like to highlight the activities of Renata Alt, who was born in Skalica, as the Chairperson of the German-Slovak-Czech-Hungarian Parliamentary Group of Friendship, where she helps develop our relations,” concluded Minister Lajčák at the end of his remarks.
