State Secretary Parízek Meets Ambassador of Ukraine and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Canada

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek received today (8 April 2019) the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Slovak Republic Yuriy Mushka and Chargé d´Affaires a.i. of Canada to the Slovak Republic John von Kaufmann. 


The diplomats conveyed the invitation of Foreign Affairs Minister of Canada Chrystia Freeland and Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin to the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák to attend the international Ukraine Reform Conference, which is to be held in Toronto on 2-4 July 2019.


 
Parízek confirmed the interest of Slovakia in a stable and prosperous Ukraine, appreciated its current successes in reforms and called upon it to continue with them. He reiterated Slovakia’s readiness to further support Ukraine in its reform and integration efforts.  In this context he also appreciated the engagement of Canada.


 
The meeting also served to discuss Slovakia’s current bilateral issues with both countries.
