Condolences from Minister Lajčák in relation to the terror attack in the centre of Barcelona

17.8.2017 | Vyhlásenia a stanoviská ministerstva |

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic strongly condemns the terror attack that was perpetrated in the busy tourist street La Rambla in the centre of Barcelona on 17 August. This deplorable act claimed several lives and injured dozens. We express our indignation over this violent act whose aim is bringing fear to the public. We unambiguously denounce all versions and forms of terrorism and are determined to continue supporting specific measures and tools to fight this global threat.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs SR, Miroslav Lajčák, also sent a telegram of condolences in which he expressed his grief over this horrible act and his personal condolences to his Spanish counterpart.
