    Bratislava (7 November) - Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of SR, Miroslav Lajčák, and Ambassador of Israel to SR, Zvi Aviner Vapni, signed an Agreement between the Government of the Slovak Republic and the Government of the State of Israel on Employment of Family Members of Diplomatic Mission and Consular Office Staff, in Bratislava today. Signing this agreement ranks among a series of actions that attest to the good relations between the countries.

    The exhibition opening displaying folk costume studies by two known artists of the 20th century, Martin Benka (oil on canvas) and Jaroslav August (watercolors), took place in the historical building of the House of Quality in Jerusalem on Thursday September 29, 2016. Works through oil paintings and watercolors justify variety Slovak Clothing Culture. The Exhibition in Jerusalem is a follow up to summer plein-air painting in the MUseum of the Slovak Village in Martin, with the participation of Slovak and Israeli artists.

    Slovakia and Israel have been cooperating with African counterparts for several decades. For the first time, on Tuesday September 13, 2016, both countries jointly presented their development activities. The event entitled "Shalom, Ahoj from Africa" was held at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officially inaugurated by the Chairman of the Foreign Committee of the Slovak National Council Mr. František Šebej.
