20.2.2019 | Aktivity štátnych tajomníkov

This week, a book dedicated to the first 25 years of diplomatic relations between Slovakia and Israel was launched in Jerusalem. Written by authors Pavol Demeš and Katarína Nováková, the book was launched by František Ružička, State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. In his speech, Mr. Ružička expressed his appreciation for the level of the mutual relations that have developed in a relatively short time, as well as for specific projects generated by the cooperation. “In terms of their geographical area and number of inhabitants, Slovakia and Israel are small countries. However, they benefit from enormous potential in human resources. The interconnection of the two countries allows for collaboration in a wide range of areas, from science, research and innovation, all the way to cyber security and culture. The book thoroughly charts and reflects the 25 years of this cooperation and will continue to be our inspiration for years to come.”

The book launch in Jerusalem was attended by over 60 Israeli dignitaries, who were joined and greeted by the Slovak Ambassador to Israel Peter Hulényi and the Israeli Ambassador to Slovakia Zvi Aviner Vapni. The event took place on the sidelines of the visit of the Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini in Israel.
