On 27 February 2024, in Bratislava, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Slovakia, Cheryl Cruz. The meeting was primarily a follow-up to the recent state visit of the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, to Canada, with the aim of using the positive experience in bilateral relations to strengthen concrete mutually beneficial cooperation in the investment, trade and innovation and technology fields.

On November 27, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ottawa organized a pre-Christmas evening full of Slovak culture and traditions, named “Taste of Slovakia”.

On 13 November 2023, the Government of the Slovak Republic approved its manifesto.

The literary evening was organised on November 11th, 2023 by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Ottawa Public Library and The Network of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) as part of the Slovak Cultural Autumn in Canada.
