The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ottawa covers the diplomatic and consular territory of Canada. The main activity and responsibility of the Embassy is to represent and protect the interests of the Slovak Republic and its citizens in Canada and to represent the Slovak Republic abroad.

The Embassy's mission is to actively promote and develop bilateral political, economic and cultural relations, as well as to deepen cooperation between academic, scientific and cultural institutions and to encourage mutual contacts between the citizens of the two countries. Canada is home to one of the largest expatriate communities of Slovaks in the world, so looking after expatriates and helping to preserve their heritage and ties with Slovakia is an important part of our Embassy's work.
