State Secretary Javorčík received Maltese Ambassador-Designate

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Peter Javorčík received today (March 28,2013) Ambassador-Designate Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta Ottokarl Florian Finsterwalder, on the occasion of presenting copies of his credentials.

'On behalf of the Slovak diplomacy, I gladly avail myself of this opportunity to express my sincere congratulations on 900th anniversary of the foundation of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta,' said State Secretary Javorčík at the beginning of the meeting. Both partners evaluated the current state of Slovak-Maltese cooperation and discussed the prospects of its further development. State Secretary M. Javorčík appreciated the participation of Volunteer Corps of the Maltese Order in Slovakia in the implementation of projects in the areas of social inclusion of marginalized groups of people and confirmed the interest of the Slovak Republic in intensifying the dialogue in order to solve the Roma issue. 'It will be a great honour for me to create favorable conditions for further reinforcement of the cooperation between the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta the Slovak Republic in all spheres of common interest ,' stated Ambassador Finsterwalder.
