Relations between Slovakia and Türkiye and between our nations have a long history. Today's Türkiye is an attractive destination for many Slovak citizens traveling for recreation, sightseen, or exploration. Türkiye is also a significant ally in NATO and likewise an important partner in many areas, whether it is economic, scientific and technological cooperation or the fight against terrorism. In recent years, Türkiye has invested heavily in research and development and is becoming an interesting partner for high added-value products and services.

The activities of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ankara in the northwestern part of Türkiye are complemented by the Consulate General in Istanbul, with emphases on economic and cultural cooperation, while also providing consular assistance and protection. The activities of both Slovak representative offices in Türkiye are supported by a network of nine honorary consulates.

The Office of the Defence Attaché of the Slovak Republic is assigned to the Embassy.
