Minister Lajčák Acknowledges the Work of Ambassador Krasnohorská by Awarding her with the Golden Plaque
The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčák, awarded Ambassador Mária Krasnohorská, on the occasion of her retirement, with the Golden Plaque for her extraordinary engagement, significant personal contribution and achievements linked to the building of the modern foreign service.
Mária Krasnohorská is a longstanding career diplomat. During her twenty-eight years of active foreign service, she served as Ambassador of the Slovak Republic at the UN in Geneva, France and Italy, and held several leading positions at the ministry of foreign affairs, most recently as the Secretary General of the Slovak Commission for UNESCO. Mária Krasnohorská is also a Grand Officier de l’ordre national du Mérite, awarded by the French president to foreign nationals for extraordinary achievements.
