Prezentácia Slovenska v zahraničí

Following the introductory visit of the Consul General to the Governor of Istanbul in October 2023, on February 13, 2024, Governor Davut Gül reciprocated with a visit to the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic.

On 9 February 1993, the independent Slovak Republic became a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of Slovakia's accession to UNESCO, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, highlighted Slovakia's activities and prestigious achievements in one of the most renowned specialised agencies in the United Nations system.

On 15 November 2023, the Slovak Republic was elected as a member of the UNESCO Executive Board during the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris. The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, welcomes Slovakia's election to the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) for the period 2023-2027.

The literary evening was organised on November 11th, 2023 by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Ottawa Public Library and The Network of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) as part of the Slovak Cultural Autumn in Canada.

450 guests, including five members of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, the classical music concert performed by three Slovak artists, the inauguration of the photographic panel exhibition and the brochure marking three decades on bilateral relations - are the quintessence of the event held on the occasion of both anniversaries on 5 September 2023 at the Municipal Theatre in Nicosia.

Exhibition of contemporary posters by artists from Slovakia is on view from 18 July to 18 August at one of the world’s best architecture schools - The Cooper Union. Namely: Ján Baláž, Peter Eliáš, Andrej Haščák, Peter Javorík, Eva Jenčuráková, Lenka Sisak and Mykola Kovalenko.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic officially opened new representative premises of the Slovak Institute in Prague on 14 June 2023.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková opened the Partners Forum of the Slovak Commission for UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) at the diplomacy ministry on 13 June 2023.

State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry Peter Mišík held negotiations with Minister for Foreign Affairs Ian Borg and Deputy Speaker of the Malta Parliament David Agius in Malta on 12 June 2023. The meeting topics included bilateral cooperation in economic and cultural areas, migration, Russian aggression against Ukraine, the reform of EU institutions and protection of journalists.
