Preparation of the official visit to China by Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico has entered the next phase and consultations with our Chinese partners have confirmed the main messages of the upcoming visit in June.  In conjunction with this State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Marek Eštok paid a working visit to China on 23-25 April 2024.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec paid a working visit to the Banská Bystrica Region this week. He met with major Slovak exporters operating in this region, learned about their production and openly discussed the problems faced by exporters in promoting themselves in foreign markets.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Chovanec, spoke today (15 March 2024) at the Polish Institute in Bratislava at the conference "The Three-Seas Initiative - Discussing Options for Achieving Regional Economic Policy Goals", organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bratislava and the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Vienna, accredited to the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Romania in Bratislava, the Slovak Foreign Policy Association and the Centre for Eastern Studies from Warsaw. The aim was to discuss the topic of achieving regional economic policy goals of the individual European Union states with an emphasis on promoting common actions within the Union.

As part of the working visit by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic to India, the Representation Office of the Slovak Republic in New Delhi organized the Slovak- Indian forum entitled the Slovak Innovation and Technology Day on Thursday, 22 February 2024. The event was attended by 22 businessmen and representatives from Slovak institutions and more than a hundred Indian partners.

Following the introductory visit of the Consul General to the Governor of Istanbul in October 2023, on February 13, 2024, Governor Davut Gül reciprocated with a visit to the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic.

On 6 February 2024, Rastislav Chovanec, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, visited the Slovak company InoBat based in Voderady together with 30 foreign ambassadors. As part of the "Innovation Day" event, they learned about the company's international potential and toured the battery production facility together with the research and development centre.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Chovanec, received the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Slovakia Gabriella Sancisi on 23 January 2024. The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, the use of nuclear power, smart solutions and construction.

On 23 January 2024, in Bratislava, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec received the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Slovakia Apoorva Srivastava. They positively assessed the dynamics achieved in the increase of mutual trade, as well as in investments and successful cooperation in the defence industry. They also discussed the forthcoming visit of the Slovak delegation to India, which will be accompanied by two business forums.

On 23 January 2024, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Slovakia Rudolf Jindrák. The meeting confirmed that the Czech Republic is Slovakia's closest neighbour, strategic partner, and ally on a wide range of issues, one of which also includes the agenda of economic cooperation.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Chovanec, received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Slovak Republic, Gabriel Boff Moreira, on Wednesday, 29 November 2023.

On 12 September 2023, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková opened a forum to support Slovakia´s business opportunities with Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) countries.

On 13 July 2023 State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková visited Bavaria where she had discussions in Munich with Melanie Huml, State Minister for European and International Affairs of the federal state of Bavaria.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková together with the diplomacy team is visiting the Trenčín Self-Governing Region as part of the “From Regions to the World” event on 19-20 June 2023.

On 1 June 2023, Ingrid Brocková, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, welcomed foreign ambassadors to the 27th Innovation Day in Bratislava. Guests were introduced to Photoneo's technologies for autonomous robotic solutions with custom 3D colour vision.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, together with the President of the Žilina Self-Governing Region (ŽSK), Erika Jurinová, invited foreign ambassadors to visit the region as part of the "Innovation Day" event on 20 April 2023. The guests were introduced to the University of Žilina, regional innovative companies and start-ups with international potential, such as Nilio, Asseco CEIT, AT Crystals, GERM and the company Be Lenka.

On 21-22 March 2023, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková visited the Žilina Self-Governing Region (ŽSK) as part of the event "From Regions to the World". The State Secretary, together with the President of the Region, Erika Jurinová, took part in a discussion at a professional round table, where more than 80 companies from the region were represented. They visited the University of Žilina, which has great innovation and research potential with international elements in the field of transport, and the largest investor in the region - the Kia car company, which produces up to 63 cars per hour. On the second day, the delegation will visit other innovative Slovak companies, namely MTS, Arli Lights and Kolodom.

On Monday, 20 February 2023, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková welcomed foreign ambassadors to the 24th Innovation Day in Bratislava. The guests were introduced to the startup Simplicity whose app using the same name is looking to become a global platform for cities, communities and residents.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic introduced a document “Mapping of Activities of External Economic Relations and Economic Diplomacy” on Friday, 17 February 2023. The objective of the document is to set territorial and sectoral priorities for Slovakia on foreign markets and to overall increase the efficiency of Slovak economic diplomacy.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková welcomed foreign ambassadors on the 23rd Innovation Day in Bratislava on Monday, 30 January 2023. She introduced MicroStep-MIS company producing monitoring and information systems to the guests.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, welcomed foreign ambassadors to the 22nd Innovation Days on Thursday 15 December 2022. This time, the guests could learn about the Capital City of the Slovak Republic-Bratislava from the perspective of urban innovations.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková received foreign ambassadors on Wednesday, 23 November 2022, at the 21st Innovation Day. This time in Bratislava she introduced the Glycanostics company that has developed, tried and registered an affordable and non-invasive test for the detection of prostate cancer. It can diagnose 11 types of this disease with high precision.

On Tuesday, 27 September 2022, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Káčer, awarded successful Slovak exporters at the Export Forum in Šamorín, presenting the Minister's golden plaque to representatives of MicroStep-MIS, Chemosvit Fibrochem and ESET.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, together with Prime Minister Eduard Heger opened the second edition of the Export Forum in Šamorín on Tuesday, 27 September 2022. The event was attended by Slovak companies, economic diplomats and representatives of state institutions providing pro-export services.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková together with head of the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region (BBSK) Ján Lunter invited foreign diplomats to the Innovation Day on 13 September 2022, the aim of which was to show ambassadors successful innovative companies.

“Already more than a hundred Korean companies have found their “second home” in Slovakia and thus significantly contribute, with their activities, to the growth of the Slovak economy. I´m especially happy about new investments by a Korean company in Vlkanová near Banská Bystrica, which is focused on the production of aluminum car components for Kia and Hyundai plants. We are also ready to share in the implementation of other potential investments, for example in the production of batteries for electric vehicles, semiconductors, the robotics sector and other prospective areas.”

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková welcomed foreign ambassadors at the 18th Innovation Days series today, on 27 June 2022.

Today (21 June 2022) the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková led the negotiations of the Working Group for Economic Diplomacy and Coordinated Presentation of Slovakia Abroad. The members of the working group of the Government Council for Competitiveness and Productivity include representatives from ministries, institutions and implementation agencies that cooperate in promoting the economic interests of Slovakia abroad.
